The organisation is led by experienced professionals with decades of service across social care, advocacy, quality assurance, and community support, supported by a team with strong operational and leadership expertise.

We are proud to be award-winning, including Leanne McGowan, winning 'The Head of People Award'. We have also been finalists across multiple categories at the Children and Young People and the Stars of CYP Awards, with many of our staff recognised individually as finalists, reflecting the impact and dedication across our organisation.

Leanne Mcgowan

Director

Leanne has over 25 years extensive operational experience gained across children’s services, she supports our employed teams, manages local authority relationships, oversees delivery of KPIs against existing contracts and mobilises new contracts. Leanne was awarded the Head of People award at the Stars of Children and Young people in May 2025.

Pria Griffiths-Sen

Head of Practice

Pria has over 23 years of operational and compliance audit experience within Children’s Social Care services. She is responsible for maintaining the highest quality standards of practice delivered by our employed and consultancy teams, by overseeing and monitoring Reconstruct governance systems and processes.

Ruksana Aslam

Advocacy Coordinator

Ruksana has over 20 years’ experience working with Reconstruct Children’s Services. Ruksana started her journey as a Volunteer Independent Visitor and progressed to become a Children's Advocate. Now, with her wealth of knowledge and insight in this field, Ruksana manages the Advocacy service for South Gloucestershire.

Carol Floris

Advocacy Coordinator

Carol has over 30 years of experience working in children’s rights and advocacy. She currently manages Reconstruct's Bristol advocacy service.

Eileen Smith

Team Manager

Eileen has over 20 years’ experience in delivering advocacy to children & young people. She currently manages Reconstruct's Gloucestershire advocacy service. Within her career Eileen has been involved in the promotion of advocacy for children & young people, ensuring that their voice is central to the development of services.

Maria Mayes

IV Coordinator

Maria’s knowledge of social care comes from being part of the Care, Education and Treatment Reviews (CETR) and Care (Education) and Treatment Reviews (CTR) with NHS England. Maria has been part of the team for over 5 years managing the Brighter Futures for Children contract, starting as an advocate and then moving on to the coordinator role.

Louise Dean

Coordinator, Children's

Louise has over 14 years of experience working with children and families ranging from birth to 25 years of age. She has extensive knowledge and experience of working with children and families subject to Children in Need, Child Protection and Children Looked-After care plans. Within her career to date, Louise has also worked with care leavers.

Debbie Mayes

Advocacy Coordinator

Debbie has been an advocacy coordinator since July 2022. Prior to this, Debbie worked in Community Education for 25 years. She is a qualified Tutor and Trainer in Child-Care and Development. Working in schools with the children and their families, Debbie developed and helped to deliver programs for the children that would enhance the young person’s learning so that they were able to achieve the best outcome.

Olivia Hauxwell

IV Coordinator

Olivia is a qualified social worker and has over 20 years of experience supporting young people in areas such as housing, education, employment, and training. Olivia is passionate about young people’s wellbeing and mental health and currently recruits, trains, and supervises our wonderful team of independent visitor volunteers who befriend children and young people in Bristol.

Jazmin Hollister

IV Coordinator

With over 10 years experience  in the social care sector working as a Family worker undertaking ‘crises working’ Jazmin has brought her expertise to Reconstruct and is now an IV cooridantor for Bristol.

Laura Stephenson

Business Development Manager

Has extensive experience in establishing a variety of services for children and care leavers, she is well-equipped to support the company's growth and development.

Donna Syddal

Office Manager

Donna brings a wealth of office management experience to Reconstruct, having worked across a variety of sectors over the years. She will be working closely with the team, providing essential support as we continue our commitment to delivering high-quality services for young people in care.
