Non-Instructed Advocacy
At Reconstruct, our advocates are specially trained to deliver Non-Instructed Advocacy, supporting individuals who are unable to express their views or make decisions for themselves due to age, disability, mental health needs, or other vulnerabilities.

Our advocates have the skills, knowledge, and tools to ensure that the rights, wishes, and best interests of each person are represented. They carefully observe, listen, and gather information from people who know the individual well, helping decision-makers understand what the person might want or need.
Non-Instructed Advocacy at Reconstruct can help with:
-
Ensuring decisions about care, treatment, or support reflect the person’s best interests
-
Supporting participation in meetings, reviews, and tribunals, even when the individual cannot communicate directly
-
Representing the views and needs of individuals who are non-verbal or have limited capacity to communicate
-
Protecting rights and promoting dignity in care and support decisions
Our goal is to make sure that everyone’s voice is heard, even when they cannot speak for themselves, and that every decision respects their rights and wellbeing.
