This one day course is a refresher for those who have already attended the two day Train the Trainer introductory course. The day overall will provide an update of the latest level 2 training material with a focus on adapting the material to fit the context in which it is being delivered. The afternoon will be an opportunity to share positive practice, consider approaches to some of the challenges of training delivery and ensuring that taught knowledge is reflected in practice.

The following course is aimed at staff who have previously attended Multi-Agency Child Protection training, but no specialist knowledge is required. The course aims to give you a deeper understanding of the impact on children and young people growing up.

Train the Trainer – is a two-day course which teaches adult learning skills and techniques and then on the second day of training participants will be assessed on their delivery of a short presentation. You must have completed Multi-Agency Child Protection training (or equivalent) in the last two years before attending this course. When the training has been completed it enables participants to deliver Level 2 single-agency training to staff in their own organisation. £160+VAT

A Level 3 course raising awareness and exploring the issues relating to Child Sexual Exploitation (CSE). This course considers the different models of CSE, vulnerability and resilience factors in young people, what the evidence says, and what we have learnt from serious case reviews.

Parental mental ill health was a significant factor in 40% of Serious Case Reviews and this course explores values and attitudes, identification and working together, and helps you understand the experience and voice of children and young people. It will conclude with an emphasis on analysis and joint planning for effective intervention with these families.

The following course is aimed at staff who have previously attended Multi-Agency Child Protection training, but no specialist knowledge of mental illness is required. The course aims to give you a deeper understanding of the impact of parental mental ill health on children and young people growing up.

What to expect from open and virtual open training

Open training

Reconstruct Training offer a wide range of training courses that focus on the everyday challenges for those working with children, families and adults. This includes social work professionals, occupational therapists, other social care practitioners, provider services and partner agencies such as the education sector and health.

All training is delivered by our experienced Reconstruct trainers at venues across England and provides an interactive learning experience using a range of teaching methods, including group work, role play, open discussion, videos and case studies.

Virtual open training

Just like our standard open courses, our open virtual courses are available to anyone and are delivered by our experienced Reconstruct trainers. 

Participant numbers will be capped at 15 to ensure an effective and interactive learning environment.

In the same way as face to face training allows for group work, open discussion and the sharing of videos and case studies so does our virtual training classroom.

All delegates will receive an electronic certificate from Reconstruct when the training has been completed.

Reconstruct Training welcome suggestions from delegates in regard to any further courses that you and your organisation would find beneficial for us to run as an open course.
