We are looking for male 'Independent Visitors' for children and young people who are in care in the following areas: Surrey, Kent, Essex, Barking, Dagenham, Bromley, Merton and City of London. This is a voluntary sessional role, we will pay your mileage and expenses.
An Independent Visitor is someone who befriends a child or young person who is 'in care' with social services.
Full training, support and supervision provided.
We require male role models for young people in care. We employ a diverse workforce and we welcome applications from candidates of black and minority ethnic groups. You must be over the age of 21 and able to commit to a young person for a minimum of 18 months. This role may involve travel time of up to 1 hour in some areas.
Recruitment and training dates:
- Friday 8th June - Application form deadline
- Assessment meetings to be held on a variety of dates between 25th June-2nd July
