ParticipationParticipation can be broadly defined as getting groups of young people involved in shaping the decisions made about them. Here are some of the ways we have been creating positive change through Participative work:
The children we work with are seeing real differences in their local areas; Participation is creating real, equal and non-tokenistic working relationships between senior managers and the children they corporate parent. There has been great for the individuals who participate most frequently but also for the wider care population. For more information on our flagship Children in Care Council visit www.rvoice.co.uk – this site has been designed and constructed by the Bristol Children in Care Council. Alternatively contact yourvoice@reconstruct.co.uk for more information on how Participation can start working for you.
