Emmanuelle Bertaud

As a support worker for vulnerable adults I gained lots of valuable experiences and skills which I still use today. More recently I’ve worked with pre-school children in a nursery where my passion for working with children developed. I recently completed a course: ‘Children’s Care Learning and Development’ ( Level 3 CACHE certificate), which increased my interest and passion for promoting the well being of children and young people.

I first started working for Reconstruct as an Independent Visitor, later on I also did some direct advocacy work, which I found very rewarding.    

In my new post as ‘Advocacy coordinator’ I manage a pool of sessional Advocates, as well as providing a direct advocacy service myself. Part of my role is to recruit and train people to ensure there is  always a variety of advocates who can provide a service that will meet the needs of children and young people.
