James Rushbrooke

James works almost exclusively with Children and Young People; following a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and Drama, James began working as a freelance drama teacher at a local dance school. He quickly expanded his teaching work all over the Cotswolds, teaching in Cheltenham, Gloucester, Cirencester and Bristol - and became the head of StageSchool for the prestigious King's Cathedral School in Gloucester.

Alongside his teaching James is also one of five advocates for looked after children in Gloucestershire and this is how his work with looked after Children began. James has been an advocate for four years and counting and has worked on a number of complex and diverse issues. In 2008 he was offered the position of Participation Coordinator for Reconstruct and began working with Bristol Young People.

In his free time, James is a film maker, cinema goer and writer. He enjoys his multifaceted working with children and finds them infinitely more interesting to work alongside than adults.
