Stephen HendersonStephen Henderson, Dip Theol; Dip Social Work, Graduated from Stevenson College Edinburgh 1997 (Dip SW). He worked as a Social Worker in a Children and Families Area Team for 4 1/2 years. He then was successful in gaining a Senior Social Worker post in a Children and Families Area Team before moving on to become an Assistant Service Manager (Child Protection and Family Support) where he had responsibility for quality assurance of child protection procedures and was the deputy keeper of the Child Protection Register. From this post he became a Team Manager of a Children and Families Assessment and Prevention Team. Stephen currently works in a local authority as a social work manager in Children and Families, where he has a variety of responsibilities including, children who are looked after and accommodated, being freed for adoption, and who are subject to child protection procedures. He has presented training in Child Protection and was a member of the West of Scotland Child Protection Sub Group Training Forum. Stephen has a Cert in Counselling Skills, (Strathclyde University) and has Completed the Dundee Child Protection Course. He has been a Practice Teacher and a Tutor for the Joint Investigative Interviewing Training Course (West of Scotland). Stephen has a particular interest in Child Protection, the Law and Child Development. |
