Karen Nowland

Karen Nowland graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Social Work. She also has a Graduate Diploma in Public Policy from Deakin University in Victoria. She has worked as a social worker and team manager predominantly on child care and protection, although she has also experience in psychiatry, disabilities and drug treatment. Karen has practised in Australia, England and Scotland.

Karen is currently employed as an Independent Reviewing Officer for Looked After children. She is especially interested in quality assurance and improvement in childcare services.
