Elizabeth Cameron Hay

Elizabeth Cameron Hay’s practice background has been in Local Authority work with children and families. I have managed Children’s Homes and a Family Centre, and worked as a specialist Child Protection Social Worker. Currently, I work in Learning and Development for a major Child Care Charity. This has given me the opportunity to become involved in Children’s Rights and Participation work and my remit includes work with parents, carers and young people as well as supporting workers and staff teams.

I have a particular interest in using the creative arts to work with children, young and adults; and in Group Work.

I have extensive experience in learning and development in Child Protection, Direct Work with Children and Young People Residential Work with Young People, Team Development, Working with Diversity and Supervision. I am skilled and experienced at offering consultancy to teams and groups. As a disabled woman, with mobility impairments, I have a personal commitment to promoting disabled people’s rights and participation.

I am a qualified Teacher and Social Worker. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Storytelling in Therapy and Education (University of Hertfordshire) , and a Postgraduate Diploma in Working with Groups ( Tavistock Institute).

I am an Associate Trainer with the NSPCC’s Child Protection Learning and Development Team. I am a member of BASW and the Tavistock’s Register of Psychotherapists and Allied professions.
