John Woodhouse

John Woodhouse began working in Residential Child Care, and has worked in a variety of open and secure settings in this country and the USA. He was a manager at The Cotswold Community, a therapeutic community for boys. John has worked as a Field Social Worker, covering assessment, long-term work with children and families and child protection before becoming an Assistant Manager in a Looked-After Children’s Team.

John was a Children’s Rights Officer for a large Shire County and chaired the Children’s Rights Officers and Advocates Association for England and Wales. He is now the senior manager for Looked After Young People for Torbay Council.
