Jo Norman has worked within the health services for 25 years as a nurse within the acute setting and as District Nurse and Health Visitor within the community. Following completion of her MA research, Jo has been developing child protection and family welfare training through the writing of training and development material, delivery and consultancy and advising Health Trusts, voluntary and charitable organisations on their responsibilities to create protective environments for children using their services. This has included supervision for workers, (both paid and unpaid) with families.
Jo is presently involved in the development of supervision skills training materials for health professionals and identifies the particular challenges in providing supervision for workers within this agency.
